Google, Inc just announced that Google Fiber will be available in Kansas City as early as September 9, 2012, but there’s some important information you should know if you want to one of the first to have it installed.
The Greenway Fields Homes is currently ranked number #1 “Fiberhood” in the pre-registration process (http://fiber.google.com/cities/kcmo/#fiberhood=knssmoccdf05&header=check) Google is using to help it determine where it should first install the fiber, but there’s still 40 days left until Google closes the Pre-registration. We’re encouraging all residents that would like to have Google Fiber installed in there homes to visit https://fiber.google.com/cities/ and click the “Pre-Register” button. Note: Google collects a $10 deposit during the pre-registration process and will use it as a downpayment towards the first payment.
The big surprise is that Google will also be offering TV. Google has set up a Fiber Space in Westport to demonstrate all of the amazing things that Google Fiber will be offering this fall. You can visit the Google Fiber Space at 1814 Westport Rd, Kansas City, MO 64111 from Sunday through Friday between 12-8PM or Saturday between 10AM-8PM.
