The Tree Census Report and accompanying maps are complete!

The point of the Tree Census was to inventory the existing trees in public right-of-way and create a plan for ensuring the continuing beauty of our community (plus the positive environmental effects).  The goal is to plant 200 new trees this November through a PIAC grant from the City to restore tree density and increase tree variety.  In addition, all of our public ROW ash trees were treated to prevent/withstand the Emerald Ash Borer.

The Census Report provides the City with its recommendation for the types and locations of the new trees.  Please look at your block and its tree canopy today and evaluate the  proposed plantings.  If you have any comments, there are also contact forms on the tree page.

Check out everything here.
